Curated Etsy Sculptures

Sculpture is an art I dabbled in once or twice in the past, but I was never as good with it as I am with pencils. Over the years, I’ve come to admire those who’ve mastered the craft. Through Etsy and other avenues, I’ve met a few and simply followed others. Here are just a few that stand out from the crowd.

Jason Shanaman

Based in Pennsylvania, Jason is an artist I’ve followed for years. I even have a few of his smaller pieces myself. He has created highly detailed realistic sculpts that range from lifelike to adorable. His shop contains necklace charms, small cutesy sculptures, boxes, and urns. From bearded dragons to great apes, his work is amazing and worth bringing into your home.

frogmaster1999 – Barry Stein

Bronze sculptures of incredible skill and variety. A lot of different wildlife pieces available, and they are very lifelike. I definitely feel drawn in to the octopus pieces. If you order from this artist, you’ll get every bit of worth out of the skills used to create the artwork.

You’ll find gorgeous wood sculptures of the avian variety, many birds of prey and some crows. There are a few mammals thrown in the mix, too. There is a definite style in the wood, and you can tell each piece was created with love and care to detail and realism.

Kirk McGuire Sculpture

Featuring marine life in bronze, as both tables and sculptures. I have to say I love every octopus piece in this shop, and I want one of the tables. If you’re looking for a centerpiece for a living room or want a coffee table no one else has, his artist can help you out. These pieces remind me of my childhood in the Florida Keys when I’d visit art galleries and see beautiful bronze art like this.

Laser Cryptid Labs

While 3D printing has been around a little while, a few people have really turned it to amazing uses. This is one of those shops that has so much to offer, especially in the collectibles aspect. If you’re an exotic pet owner of almost any kind, there is something for you. Jumping spiders, reptiles, amphibians, birds, gargoyles, and even furbies. In addition to the figures, there are wooden and acrylic badges available, too. I’ve ordered a jumping spider and a memorial figure of a pet from them, and they delivered in quality and care. Not only should you check them out, but I strongly recommend it.

That’s it for this week’s curated content. I’m sticking with Etsy for the moment, but will include other platforms to curate from. If you see another shop on Etsy or another platform (Instagram, Facebook, etc), please let me know, and I can give them a shout here on the blog.
